CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hello everyone, 

I study plastic arts, a very beautiful career, but I believe, it has many shortcomings. Regarding the program, I would change the insistent look towards European culture and the United States, which although it is important to know, the study of history and the review of artists could be from our territory, the Latin American, the indigenous, and think our own Aesthetics, leaving aside patterns and canons of the hegemonic tradition.

I would also take out some subject that are just a waste of time, I don’t know if because of the subject itself or the teachers, such as the “collage medial”, which was very boring and even the teacher could tell she didn’t want to do it.

Regarding the facilities, I think that all the workshops must be remodeled, because it rains in winter, which has caused many jobs to be lost, that was very sad. They should change the music stands for ones in good condition, since most of them come apart and are useless because of how old they are. Workshops should also have better ventilation, since we work with toxic materials that we constantly vacuum.

Regarding the use of technologies, I think that the photography workshop, the dark room and the machines could be better equipped, since many are bad.

In short, there is much that should be changed, this has been reported to those in charge of the curriculum and infrastructure administration, there have been many stoppages for the same and the changes are not seen, only unfulfilled promises.
